My partner Eve Biddle and I designed these two Jackson Heights Murals that were painted on either side of a handball court in the schoolyard of IS 145 in Jackson Heights, Queens.

This was part of NYCares Day - a program that gets volunteers to help out at schools, doing everything from planting flowers to cleaning out closets to painting Jackson Heights Murals. We designed and penciled in the Jackson Heights Murals beforehand. Then the actual painting was done by the volunteers on NYCares Day. For one of the Jackson Heights Murals, the lettering was done by a volunteer grafitti artist named YAKO 440.

A photo documentation of the process of their creation here.

The Jackson Heights Murals are located at Northern Boulevard and 80th Street in Jackson Heights, a quick walk from the 7 or E train, easily accessible by car and close to lots of delicious food.
