The Breakup is a proposal for a 30 seconds campaign spot that I created for the 2006 mid-term congressional elections. It is a political cartoon in motion. A WOMAN, representing the American People, breaks up with a MAN, representing the Republican Party.

The piece was structured so that different versions of the spot could be made relatively inexpensively for different congressional districts, simply by popping off the head of the MAN and replacing it with that of a different incumbent (as well as swapping out the name on the button). The example shown was meant for the senate race in Pennsylvania.
