Animated bicycle messengers weave between live-action traffic in Midtown Manhattan, highlighting the peculiar relationship between messengers and the city in which they operate.
Bicycle Messengers has screened at film festivals around the world, as well as on PBS/WNET in New York City as part of the ReelNY series in 2007.
The film was made possible through a Media Arts Grant from the Jerome Foundation.
This film exists in two different versions: one with voice-over and one without. Above is the edit without; the version including narration can be seen here.
A series of silkscreen prints that I created in conjunction with this film are here.
